Design Challenge
The challenge is to promote and package Roseart’s new sidewalk chalk that is targeted toward young adults. The packaging for the product needs to feel more sophisticated while still coming off as creative and fun. The product will be promoted by a contest sponsored by RoseArt. Consumers are encouraged to get creative with the chalk and then take a picture of their work and submit it to Facebook for a chance to win a $100 value inRoseArt art supplies.
Design Solution
To have an elegant solution to the packaging, a couples sources of inspiration were chalkboard art and calligraphy, The black background is classy while the slight sidewalk textures makes it relevant to the product. The colors were drawn directly from the chalk within the package. The function of the package is that it can be toted around by the handle on the top and it is resealable.
